Office gossip.

The only one here that knows about this blog is Cathy, and I wouldn't put her personal business here. Janice doesn't know about the blog, but she signs my paychecks, so obviously you won't be reading about her, either. Some of this hasn't been confirmed.

Karen, the one who is nice to me some days and a total bitch to me others, has been making mention that she is fed up with working here. She's supposedly overworked and tired of being saddled with too many projects at once. I respect the abilities of everyone who works here, but she's a no-talent compared to Cathy, Jamie and Allison who are the ones that do all of the custom orders from scratch. Karen mainly does alterations and while that's a big part of our business, it's not AS time consuming as the things the others do. She even has help from her daughter 2 days a week. Janice brought this to my attention the other day and told me to tell her if I hear her complaining or continuing to make people miserable.

This is a high-stress environment a lot of the time. Not so much for me, but these women have deadlines to meet and it's a busy time of year right now with Spring weddings and Easter approaching. There is zero tolerance for negativity and/or laziness when it is this busy.

The girl Jamie I mentioned is our newest and youngest seamstress, but I don't know how long she's gonna be here. The work she does is amazing, but she seems to have a lot going on in her life. She's two years younger than Rei and she's got 2 kids that are  in school. (The youngest is in first grade, I think.) I really like her, but Janice doesn't. She gets pissed every time a kid is at the nurse's office or has an appointment or whatever else. She's got a boyfriend and I've met him, and he is super nice but I think he sells drugs. She's been really stressed this week and Allison told me that she heard her talking about bail money to someone. I'm real worried about her. :/


Got things to do now, but I've got a selfie for you! I can't compete with Rei today, but she likes my choices and so long as she approves, I'm happy! :)
